Magnifier is linked to Google's Music Beta cloud service - which is currently only available to users in the US while some controversy still surrounds if and how it should be licensed - and the company is clearly hoping for symbiotic growth here.

In a blog posting on the site, Google head of music programming Tim Quirk describes Magnifier as "basically Music Beta's cousin" which makes new music recommendations to users.
