"It's been a long time coming": Irv Gotti signs deal with Warner/Chappell Music

 

Warner/Chappell music have confirmed they have signed Irv Gotti to a worldwide publishing agreement. Effective immediately, Warner/Chappell will administer all of the music executive/producer/songwriter’s future material, including his score music for the BET drama series, Tales.

Speaking about the signing, Jon Platt, chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell said: "Irv is an amazing music person and entrepreneur, and the force behind a string of game-changing records. Irv's impressive talents have often gone unrecognized, but there is no doubt that he has some of the best ears in the business. Irv and I been great friends for years, so it’s a thrill to welcome him into the Warner/Chappell family."

Gotti added: “It’s been a long time coming. I have been great friends with Big Jon since I got in the music biz. So I couldn’t ask for a better partner for this second run I’m about to go on in the Entertainment Biz (Music, TV and Film).”

Irv Gotti founded Murder Inc. Records and was responsible for an array of huge hip-hop and R&B hits in the ‘90s and '00s including work with Jay-Z, DMX, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Foxy Brown, Jennifer Lopez, Fat Joe and Eve.
