Americana Music Association UK to relaunch with KOKO concert

The Americana Music Association UK (AMA-UK) is set to relaunch with a special evening of Americana music at KOKO in Camden.

The event, which will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2027, will feature a line-up including Steve Earle and Frazey Ford, in their first London shows since 2018 and 2021, respectively.

UK artists Kezia Gill, Elles Bailey (pictured) and Jonny Morgan & The Moral Support have also been announced for the bill. Tickets go on general sale this Friday, November 6.

Our aim is to consolidate our ground-breaking achievements so far, re-build our January event into a world-class centrepiece and expand our activities across the UK

The association, which has more than 500 members, has a new leadership team in place following a hiatus in 2025 and a reset in 2026, and plans to expand its membership and presence across all UK regions.

It sees the January event as the first step in a longer-term plan to return its flagship UK Americana Music Week, which traditionally includes a conference, showcase festival and awards ceremony, to a similar scale by 2028.

“We can’t wait to share a fantastic evening of music next January and are thrilled to be joined by Steve Earle, Frazey Ford, Kezia Gill, Elles Bailey and Jonny Morgan & The Moral Support," said Kristen Neilson of the AMA-UK leadership team. "As we begin a new chapter for the association, our aim is to consolidate our ground-breaking achievements so far, re-build our January event into a world-class centrepiece and expand our activities across the UK.”
