Aitch, L Devine and Easy Life join Deezer Next 2019 line-up

Deezer has unveiled the latest additions to its Next programme for 2019 - Aitch, L Devine and Easy Life.

The latest UK names for the artist development initiative follow the addition of Jade Bird and Hamzaa as previous picks for 2019.

A new addition this year is the dedicated Deezer Next channel, which has exclusive content from the Next artists, including live sessions and their personal playlists.

Nigel Harding, Deezer’s VP of artist marketing, said: “The UK is brimming with incredible rising artists, and every year for Next, we hand-pick the talent we believe has huge potential. We’re so excited to champion even more incredible artists and support their journey in bringing their music to new fans across the country and the world.”

L Devine said: "I’m so happy to be a Deezer Next artist for 2019. I see so many of my fans discovering my music through Deezer so it’s great to be championed by them. I’ve seen how the support from Deezer has impacted artists like Sam Fender, Jorja Smith and Lewis Capaldi so it’s really exciting to be selected.”

Aitch, who's currently making a chart impact with solo material and features, said: “Honoured to be selected, let’s get cracking. Can’t wait to be dropping some more music and reach out to different audiences."

Previous Deezer Next alumni including Jorja Smith, Rag‘N’Bone Man and Anne-Marie.

Deezer said the current Deezer Next 2019 artists have collectively experienced a 282% stream increase since the programme began this year. January’s global pick Lewis Capaldi has also seen a surge of 854% in fans and 244% in monthly streams on Deezer, while Sam Fender experienced a 225% increase in fans and 424% increase in monthly streams.

Deezer's global acts for this latest Next round include Colombian reggaeton singer Manuel Turizo and French-American R&B pop singer Lolo Zouaï. They follow Capaldi, a former UK pick who became Deezer Next’s global priority in January.
