Dirty Hit boss and The 1975’s manager Jamie Oborne has been unveiled as headline speaker at BBC Music Introducing Live.
The event takes place at London’s Tobacco Dock from October 31 to November 2. BBC Music Introducing Live targets the next generation of industry leaders, artists and creatives.
Oborne will take part in a headline talk in the Discovery Theatre presented by Spotify, during which he will share his experiences, advice and take questions. BRIT and Ivor Novello winners The 1975 are set to follow up last year’s No.1 A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships later this year.
MTV, Transgressive Records, Universal Music UK, Beggars Group, Warner Records and DJ Mag will all be represented at sessions and panels at this year’s event.
Toby L, Transgressive Records co-founder, said: "The inaugural BBC Introducing Music Live event was one of the most inspiring, enriching and fulfilling gatherings we've had the pleasure to partake in. Every genre, sensibility and background was taken into consideration, combining to produce an inclusive and practical inside track to one of the most opaque and complex businesses on the planet. Whether you're an artist, a burgeoning music mogul, or someone that's simply curious to learn more about the inner machinations of the music industry, it's an absolute must-attend."
