The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and SESAC Performing Rights have announced a new international partnership.
Under the agreement, IMRO will administer SESAC writer-share online performing rights royalties across multiple territories.
IMRO will process usage data, allocate royalties, provide reporting and distribute royalties to SESAC across eligible digital services and markets.
The deal covers the writer’s share of royalties, while publisher-share royalties relating to the repertoire will continue to be administered under the applicable publisher arrangements, including where rights are licensed through the ICE framework.
IMRO and SESAC say the appointment highlights the organisations’ shared focus on effective rights administration and service to creators.
“We are delighted to enter into this agreement with SESAC," said IMRO CEO Victor Finn. "It reflects the trust between our organisations and recognises the strength of IMRO’s international digital rights administration and collections capabilities.
“SESAC represents an exceptional community of songwriters and composers, and we look forward to working closely with its team to support the accurate and efficient administration of these online performing rights royalties.”
