Kobalt has announced the signing of Filipino producer BRGR to a global publishing deal.
BRGR has worked with artists such as MBNel and O-Side Mafia, scoring a US hit with the latter's Get Low, which has amassed more than 150 million streams on Spotify.
He has also produced other tracks for O-Side Mafia, including 20 Deep, SMD, Kunan Mong Pic and Crashing.
“BRGR has made an impact early in his career both within the Philippines and around the world and we are thrilled to welcome him into the Kobalt family,” said Frederica Wong, director of the APAC region for Kobalt. “We are especially excited to have BRGR as our first-ever signing from Mindanao; it is a significant milestone for us, and we are eager to continue expanding our reach and supporting the incredible talent emerging from this vibrant region.”
BRGR began his producing career in South Cotabato, the Philippines, and built his reputation by producing EDM tracks from his bedroom for artists in Europe from his bedroom, and creating remixes featured on the YouTube channel Trap Nation.

He later relocated to Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines, where he linked up with local hip-hop artists such as O-Side Mafia.
He has gone to produce for some of the Philippines' biggest hip-hop artists, while rising in the DJ scene.
"Twelve years ago, I was just 12 years old, a kid with only a laptop, a dream, and trust in myself," said BRGR. "There were a lot of doubts, and those doubts came from people close to me, but that's always normal.
"I'm grateful because the accomplishments, milestones, or accolades were never part of the plan. I never could have imagined where this would take me. All I knew was that I wanted to make music.
"Today, I'm proud to announce that I'm joining Kobalt Music Publishing as their first official Filipino-born producer/DJ. This is just the beginning. And I'm not done yet."
