Reservoir Media has signed a new publishing deal with Grammy-nominated songwriter-producer Jake Sinclair for his future works.
In addition, Reservoir has entered a joint venture with Sinclair to sign and develop emerging talent to publishing deals.
“As part of the new deal, Reservoir and Sinclair will work together to identify and sign emerging artists and writers to publishing deals with the company,” said a statement. “Sinclair will have a hands-on role in working with developing talent and helping bring their creative visions to life.”
Based in New York City, Sinclair started out as a member of indie band The Films and went on to become a Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter, engineer, and musician.
Sinclair spent a few years as Butch Walker’s engineer in LA, working with artists such as Taylor Swift, Pink, Avril Lavigne and Train. Since leaning more heavily into songwriting, he has built an extensive list of collaborators and credits, including hits by Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, 5 Seconds of Summer and Weezer.
Sinclair earned his first US gold-certified single with his collaboration Harlem by New Politics, followed by the double-platinum She Looks So Perfect by 5 Seconds Of Summer.

In addition, Sinclair played a central role in writing and producing Panic! At The Disco’s double-platinum No.1 album Death of a Bachelor (2016). That same year, he produced Weezer’s Weezer (White Album), with both albums earning nominations for Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards.
He became a frequent collaborator with Panic! At The Disco, co-writing and producing the band’s Pray for the Wicked (2018) – including the Diamond-selling High Hopes – and co-writing 12 tracks on their 2022 album Viva Las Vengeance.
Sinclair also co-produced Fall Out Boy’s eight-times platinum hit Centuries and three-times platinum hit Uma Thurman. Most recently, he has added credits with One Ok Rock, LA Exes, Ax and The Hatchetmen, Bailen, Daisy Grenade and 5 Seconds Of Summer.
