Ava Max, The Greatest Showman head 2019's biggest-sellers so far

Ava Max's Sweet But Psycho is the UK's biggest song of the year so far, while The Greatest Showman OST continues its reign as the best-selling album.

According to new data released by the Official Charts Company, Sweet But Psycho racked up 663,000 combined sales in Q1 2019, including 79.8 million streams, which also makes it the most streamed song of the year to date. Its overall sales total 987,000.

Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings, which topped the charts for four weeks, is in second place with 616,000 combined sales and Calvin Harris & Rag’N’Bone Man’s Giant ranks third (546,000 sales), just ahead of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved (526,000 sales), despite the latter holding it off the top spot in the UK singles chart for the past five weeks. 

Post Malone has two entries in the Top 10, with Wow at No.5 (495,000) and Sunflower at No.10 (391,000), while Mabel is at No.7 with Don’t Call Me Up (408,000).

The Greatest Showman Motion Picture Cast Recording spent the first five weeks of 2019 at No.1 on the Official Albums Chart and has combined sales for this year of 263,000 (1.89m overall). Grande's Thank U, Next is the second biggest-seller of the year with 164,000 sales, followed by George Ezra's Staying At Tamara's at No.3 (145,000) and the Bohemian Rhapsody OST (No.4, 132,000) by Queen.

Elsewhere, Tom Walker's What A Time To Be Alive leads Dave's fellow chart-topper, Psychodrama, as the biggest-selling debut of 2019.
