Take That have confirmed details of their 10th studio album, Dreamers (EMI), which is released on November 20.
Previously released tracks You’re A Superstar, Sweet July and Feel My Love (with Michael Patrick Kelly) will feature on the album, alongside the title track which is available now.
Expectations will be high for a new Take That record following a six-figure opening for 2023’s This Life. Scoring the band’s biggest first week sale since 2014, it debuted at the summit with consumption of 116,163 units and has since gone on to amass 176,286 units to date (Official Charts Company).
The release of the album follows their hit Netflix documentary and this summer’s Circus tour, which saw them perform to more than 700,000 fans across the UK and Ireland.
In the announcement, Dreamers is described as a “sparkly, energetic album laden with pop hits and inspired by disco, house and classic pop”. Masterpiece, the closing piano-layered track, was written with Tom Odell.
In a statement, Take That said: “When we were making this album, our 10th as a band, we didn't set out to write something which reflected on our career together. However, in a year which has already been so incredible for us, what transpired when we started to share music and ideas was we had taken the best bits of what we’d learned as Take That and put it into these songs. We're very happy and proud of what we’ve created and we can't wait for everyone to hear it.”
The Dreamers Tour in 2027 is their biggest European tour for some years, with 31 dates in 31 cities across 16 countries, including festivals and outdoor shows.
The tour kicks off on June 3 in Switzerland, followed by dates in Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Austria and Germany.
