Blue Note Jazz Club London announces Ticketmaster partnership

Ticketmaster has been announced as ticketing partner for the first Blue Note Jazz Club in London.

Blue Note’s first UK spin-off, which opens on September 23, is set within the basement of the St Martins Lane hotel in Covent Garden.

The venue will benefit from Ticketmaster's audience and tech, including its SafeTix technology and marketing support.

The encrypted, digital ticketing system uses rotating, dynamic barcodes and NFC technology to help prevent fraud, offering stronger protection against touting and duplication and a smoother entry experience for fans using mobile and digital wallet tickets.

"For over two decades, Ticketmaster has been more than a partner to Blue Note, they've been part of our story," said Blue Note Entertainment Group president Steven Bensusan. "As we open Blue Note London, we're proud to bring that trusted relationship to a new home and a new audience. Few companies understand the live music experience the way Ticketmaster does, and that's exactly why they're the right partner for this next chapter."

Ticketmaster plans to utilise Blue Note’s global audience to help connect the brand’s international fanbase with its new London home.

“It’s a privilege to continue building our relationship with Blue Note globally as it opens its first UK venue," said Sarah Slater, MD at Ticketmaster UK. "Blue Note has played a huge role in jazz for decades, and its arrival in London is a significant addition to a live music scene that’s thriving. We’re excited to support that next chapter, using Ticketmaster’s technology, marketing reach and global audience to connect more fans with the artists playing at Blue Note London and make getting into shows as simple and secure as possible.”

Blue Note London will open with five-time Grammy winner Robert Glasper on September 23-24, before returning for a further seven shows in November.

Other upcoming performances and residencies include Erykah Badu, Jamie Cullum, Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, Kokoroko and Hak Baker.

Founded in New York City’s Greenwich Village in 1981, the iconic brand has expanded to other US cities, as well as overseas to Japan, China, Brazil and Italy.
