Taylor Swift has become the most successful artist in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards.
As well as accepting the first ever Artist Director gong for Opalite, Swift won Video Of The Year for The Fate Of Ophelia to take the overall lead among MTV VMA winners.
Swift is pushing for No.1 in the UK this week with new songs from the Encore edition of The Life Of A Showgirl, based on the Official Charts Company First Look snapshot.
Of course, Sienna Spiro is currently No.1 in the UK with Great Expectation. The British singer and songwriter won Best New Artist in a fan vote at the MTV VMAs, as well as performing on the night.
The LA ceremony, which was hosted by Snoop Dogg, featured tributes to Dolly Parton and George Michael, marking 10 years since his death. Performers include Raye, Kacey Musgraves, Sombr, Teddy Swims, Lisa, Shaboozey, Gunna and Gener8ion & Yung Lean.
Opening the show, Madonna appeared with Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX during her performance at the ceremony.
Madonna was one of the big winners with seven trophies including three awards collected on stage: Artist Of The Year, Best Dance (Confessions II – The Film) and Best Collaboration (Bring Your Love with Sabrina Carpenter).
PinkPantheress was the other UK winner, taking the Best Art Direction trophy for Stateside + Zara Larsson.
