Global release day set for Friday, July 10

The first date the global release day for new music will come into play is on Friday, July 10.

The news was confirmed to Music Week last night by sources, who said the IFPI have had the date secured for a while.

In February, IFPI confirmed that the change would come into effect in 'summer 2015'.
