Council further discuss closure of UK's biggest music lending library

Since the announcement of the decision to cease running of the specialist YLI service, the library received thousands of emails and letters of support from both registered and non-registered library users.

Robin Osterley, Director of Making Music, the organisation undertaking the campaign to save the YLI institution, provided a report after the council meeting yesterday which included the following summary:
