HMV gains market share in first three months of 2012 while Amazon dips

That's according to the latest Kantar Worldpanel data, Entertainment Retail Barometer which also shows that Amazon has lost 2.5% of market share since the last quarter. The online giant now holds a 19.9% share of the total entertainment retail market.

Year-on-year, however, Amazon did increase its overall share by 2.7%, while that of HMV is still below what it was at this point in 2011.

Meanwhile supermarkets Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's all made gains but Tesco's entertainment market share dipped ...
