News Corp. COO Chase Carey, who has been both vocal and public in his criticisms of Myspace's perceived shortcomings in the past, said during an earnings call yesterday that the company is "actively engaged" in talks around "strategic alternatives" for the social network.
This, predictably, has been read as Carey inviting outside companies to table a buy-out offer for Myspace.
