YouTube allows Creative Commons remixes

The new terms will allow copyright owners to assign a Creative Commons licence to their content.

All editing of video content must be done through YouTube's bespoke editing software.

An initial deal between C-SPAN and Al Jazeera will offer 10,000 videos under a Creative Commons licence.

In April, YouTube introduced its Copyright School in the US. It was designed to stem unlicensed content on its platform by directing infringing uploaders to its new copyright education programme.
