Merthyr Rock takes place September 3-4 in Cyfartha Park and will feature a bill reflecting the some of the new music coming out of Wales, including Funeral For A Friend and Attack! Attack!

According to the organisers of the event - it is funder by the Major Events Unit of the Welsh Government and the Arts Council of Wales - it is hoped the new festival will raise the country's international profile.
