The former digital media director at Virgin Radio, James Cridland, will take on the role of BBC head of Future Media and Technology, Audio & Music from July 8.
The appointment will see Cridland charged with the ongoing development of pan-BBC non-linear/new media strategy and provide strategic focus for new media technology within BBC Audio & Music.
